Introduction

Cheese production in Imsil was brought over by Belgian priest Jeonghwan Ji in 1958 and has become Imsil’s local specialty ever since. Imsil’s cheese production began with just two goats, and now it has expanded to become the most famous cheese producer in the local market and led to the establishment of the Imsil Cheese Theme Park. The park has everything catering to any cheese enthusiast; cheese experience centers, a promotion center, a milk processing factory, a local specialty shop, and more. Research is also done in one of the facilities to make premium cheese.
