Introduction

It is a famous mountain spreading through Jeonju, Gimjae and Wanju, and it is called Moaksan as the rock on the east side of summit looks alike a mother holding her baby in her bosom. The scenery during spring time is exceptionally beautiful. There are many temples, such as Daewonsa and Suwangsa inside Moaksan. If you climb up to the summit, you can see panoramic view of Jeonju city. To the south, you can see other mountains such as Naejangsan in Jungeup and Byeonsanbando. The Honam Plain stretches in between them. With Gui reservoir being at the center, there is a father mountain that stares at Moaksan. It is Gyungaksan mountain. There is also a site for parachutes and hang gliders.
